1st half of pregnancy  symptoms (pregnant with twins)

Hi all,

I’m here today with a rundown of to how my first trimester went.

From my two lines at just 3 past my period due date to 20 weeks.

  • Started with extreme fatigue. So much so that by 4 o’clock I could be so tired I couldn’t function.
  • Morning sickness that actually lasted most of the day.  Brushing my teeth always brought on sickness.
  • Bleeding gums when brushing.
  • Sore boobs from around 7 weeks. Especially in the evening. I ended up buying a non-wired support top to sleep in.
  • My regular clothes started not fitting around 12 weeks.
  • Quite a bit of anxiety crept back in.
  • Crying at everything.

I manage I’d to combat a bit of the sickness by eating a small snack or biscuit at regular intervals through the day. And not eating too much at mealtimes.

I felt so much better if I could manage to get a nap before the afternoon school run. Still do.

I have kerbed a bit of the anxiety by keeping busy, exercise and fresh air.

I’ll be back in  a few weeks with my  2nd-trimester symptoms

I’ve got a secret.

First of all I’m sorry if this post is a little all over the place.

Here goes.

Back at the beginning of the year I had such plans for my blog and vlog.

I had even wrote up ideas in my planner.

But then something happened.

Something that has had me feeling ill for a while.

Something that sent my anxiety soaring.

Something wonderful and nerve wracking at the same time.

Two lines

I’m now just over 20 weeks and I’ve just got back from our 20 week scan.

The reason I’ve been keeping it a secret is im not sure how I felt about this pregnancy.

I feel ashamed as yes we took the decision to stop using contraception to “see what happened”

To have J & M we had 5 years of trying followed by being pushed here there and everywhere for fertility treatments and then finally after a round of fertility drugs we had a big fat positive.

Anyway  with morning sickness and extreme fatigue we booked for an early scan to make sure the pregnancy was valid and I joked to make sure there’s only one this time.

The sonograper had only just turned the screen around………

F**k

F**k is exactly what I said. Then proceeded to cry.

Yes that two sacks. Two foetus. Two heart beats!!!!

Omg not again.

Last time was so hard.

Two more means a new car. A double pushchair. And missing out on all the things I missed out on last time because there are things I couldn’t do with 2. Like swimming, like sling carrying. Like having one to one time. Even baby massage and playgroups were an issue.

As I said I’ve just been for my 20 week scan. And I’m still not sure it’s sunk in.

20 weeks marks the start of my constant consultant appointments. Scans every 2 weeks.

I’m hoping to be a little more active on my social media, blog and maybe even you tube channel.

I’m sorry it’s taken so long to tell you where I’ve been. But it’s been hard to admit that I wasn’t over the moon especially as I know some people who follow me are struggling with infertility.

Until next time.

It’s like Internet dating through Instagram

Today I went out for breakfast. While there I spoke to a lady who was asking about the internet for the coffee shop

She had come to this particular coffee shop to meet someone she has only spoken to on Instagram.

I got to telling her that I met up with a lady in Lanzarote that I had only ever spoken to on twitter. Who I’m now friends with and meet up with when we are over there.

How funny is this world that we are friends with so many people in the digital world. That we have never met in the real world.

It must be daunting to meet a digital friend in real life as you never know if they have shown the honest side of life.

On Instagram especially you can sometimes only see the green grass of people’s lives.

I try to show the honest side of my life on every platform but I think most of us are guilty posting cropped parts of life as they get more likes & coments.

The ladies seemed to get on really well. I bet they will stay in real life contact for sometime to come.

Have you met up with  digital in real life?

Did you have a good experience? Or was it a disaster?

Leave a comment below and let me know your story.

Budgeting, & free Samples Scoring The Best Free Samples: How To Get Products While Avoiding Spam

So this year I’m all about how to save money & budget better.

I was asked to collab on this informative post with Free Stuff Baby. Free samples can make great gift basket items.

Have a look below to see how you can get the best free samples.

If you know where to look, there are a lot of free samples out there. Companies want to draw in new customers, so they give away products to get them interested. However, while this can be great for you, you also need to know how to avoid junk mail, spam and scams in the process.

Scoring Free Samples

There are a lot of websites that devote themselves solely to finding the best freebie deals out there. They do the work and you can reap the benefits. Occasionally, you may have to interact with the site in some way to get the sample. For example, you may need to provide your email or complete a survey to be eligible.

Free Stuff Baby is a great place to start your search. Be aware, however, that the site simply lists the deals. It is up to you to determine if you feel the company giving out the freebie is legitimate.

Set Up A Special Email

When you go after freebies, you can expect to receive a lot of spam mail as a result of sharing your email address. Therefore, set up an email specifically devoted to your freebie pursuits. That way, the email you use to connect with family and friends will not get bogged down with junk. Make sure that you don’t put in a false email in order to get the freebie. You might need to check shipping information or take additional steps to get your product, so the address needs to be valid.

Figure Out The Good From The Bad

Some offers out there are simply not legitimate. If you carefully consider an offer, you can likely figure out which ones are real and which ones are fake. Most companies, for example, only give out a sample size of a product so you will be enticed to buy more later. If a company is offering up an expensive product for free, like a tablet, they are probably not legitimate and just want your contact information.

Don’t Give Out Certain Details

When signing up to receive a freebie, you will naturally be asked to provide a certain amount of information. For example, you have to give your email address if you want to receive the product. You also need to give out your name. There is not much else that you should have to provide though; a phone number may be necessary, but if you give it out, know that you could get phone calls from telemarketers. If you are asked to provide a lot more personal information, it should raise a red flag.

Be Quick

Some offers are only good for a certain number of people. For example, you might have to be one of the first one thousand people to enter your email address in order to get a product. Make sure you are ready and waiting for these deals. If you have to log into a site, do so before the offer starts.

Celebrate Your Birthday

There are a lot of businesses that give out freebies for birthdays. For example, you may be able to get a coupon for a free dessert with your meal. Simply look for birthday freebie sites and choose the offers that appeal to you.

Never give out your credit card information in order to get a freebie; you don’t necessarily know who you are giving your information to. Even if you determine that the website is on the up and up, it isn’t a good idea to set up a “free” trial. Unless you are vigilant, your card is likely to be charged as soon as the trial ends. Therefore, proceed with caution in these circumstances. It is usually better to move on to the next deal instead.

The BedTime Tag

So last week I was tagged by Baby Not Included in The Bedtime Tag

I’ve never really thought about my bedtime as being part of routine but I thought I would take a look and join in anyway!

Here goes…..

img_3467

  • Describe your usual bedtime routine.

Lately, I have been going to bed at the same time as the kids. Daddy is often late home as he works all the way in London. Usually what happens is I make a cuppa for me and fill the kids water bottles head upstairs read in my bed with them then they go to their bed and I have a bath while watching YouTube or I grab a magazine and flick through that in my bed while I drink my decaf tea!

When hubby gets home We stick on something light Like not going out or Miranda Stick on a sleep timer and fall asleep!

  • What are your favourite pyjamas?

I love my Jammers that I bought just before Christmas they have pockets and are really comfy. I tend to wear them with a coordinating vest top or my But first coffee t.

  • What is your current bedtime reading?

I used to read books all the time but since having the twins I just can’t seem to get into them! I tend to pick up a magazine now at bed time!

  • What would I find on your bedside table?

I like to take my Vitamins at night so they are in my drawer , In November I was diagnosed with silent reflux so I have a bottle of Gaviscon and I have to take one 5ml spoon before laying down, a bottle of water to drink before I go to sleep and first thing after waking I have to hydrate in a morning or I can’t function! , my empty tea-cup, When I get to bed I remove my I watch, Pandora Bracelet & Glasses so they are also on my bedside.

  • What scent makes you sleepy?

Chamomile tea, I have a tea that’s blended to help promote sleep so now when I smell it, it makes me sleepy.

  • What is your usual bedtime and wakeup time?

I tend to go to bed around 7.30 / 8pm but sleep around 9.30 / 10pm. I hate these dark mornings but I try to wake up around 6.30 to give me a good half hour to have a cuppa before the kids wake up!

  • What are your top three bedtime products?

My Jammers, Sleepy time tea, and my jammers

  • What is your most common sleeping position?

I like to lay on my tummy with my left leg straight and my right leg bent up towards my tummy, my hands under my pillow!

  • Do you have anything you like to take to bed with you?

My cuppa!

  • What is your worst bedtime habit?

Like a lot of people, I think Its looking at my iPhone just before trying to sleep! Studies have shown that being on your phone increases dopamine, the same feel-good chemical that’s released from the brain when people take drugs or drink!

I really need to stop this addiction!

So that’s my bedtime, not really a routine but it is what it is! I think having looked at it wrote down like this I really need to shake my routine up a bit. there’s no wonder I don’t sleep very well!
